| COURSE
PROGRAMME |
The course
takes place over 9 days. Across the 9 days of 8 working hours each,
students will experiment eiyh the techniques of traditional marmorino
and follow some taught lectures.
1. Introduction to the history and styles of marmorino from antiquity
to date.
2. Tools preparation and site organization
3. Materials and their chemical and physical characteristics
4. Preparation of the mix
5. Ground preparation
6. Application techniques
7. Colouring marmorino: mixing with pigments and as fresco application
8. Pigments and earths: utilization and properties
9. Relief ornament and three dimensional decoration
10. Compiling estimates for given specifications
