OF COURSE |
The
Stucco course by means the art of "Scagliola Carpigiana"
inlay has a duration of 80 hours distributed over 10 days running
for a minimum of 6 partecipants and a maximum of 10 partecipants.
Previous experience is not necessary.

Materials,
tools and equipment are supplied by the school.
At the end of the course, students will also receive handouts on the
subjects covered. |

| COURSE
PROGRAMME |
FIRST
PART
History, background and techniques in stucco.
Every day new stucco mixes will be prepared so that students can learn
how to work on panels: smoothing and polishing of flat surfaces
SECOND
PART
Practical exercises comprising three-dimensional elements (cornices,
columns, etc.); this is the groundwork for three-dimensional work
with the stucco
Starting to work with inlay
Tools used:
- 1 bricklayers' trowel
- 1 small end trowel
- 1 scraper (6 cm)
- 1 stanley knife
- 1 square brush no. 30
- 1 plastic bowl (1/2 litre)
- 1 tape measure
- 1 hammer
- 1 old chisel
- 1 steel brush
