 The
Gilding Restoration Course is aimed at gilders who have acquired
some previous experience in gilding.
Our approach is to give gilders a good background to overcome the
problems encountered in the restoration of precious leaf.
We will examine in depth all the problems relating to cleaning old
and damaged surfaces, disinfestation of timber supports, consolidating
and fixing damaged parts, integrating new leaf with old, ageing
new parts and toning.
