Gilding Restoration course has a duration of 80 hours distributed
over 10 days running for a minimum of 6 students.
Previous experience in gilding is necessary.

- Introduction
to rabbitskin glue, gesso and its use
- Preparing
timber,glass and other materials
- Introduction
to bole and its use
- Gold
leaf, various types and carats
Practical
tuitions:
Examination and planning of the work in hand in relation to
its restoration
- Cleaning
old patinations and problems relating to this operation
- Filling
and the problems of its execution on unstable surfaces
- Consolidating
and fixing parts at risk
- Applying
goldleaf and integrating it with the original
- Ageing
and toning the match
All
works executed during this course belong to the student

fee for the Gilding Restoration Course is Eur 1550,00 exclusive of
taxes (VAT 21%)
